Teen & Adult Skating Programs
PGFSC is excited to continue to offer a variety options for teens and adults! Whether you’re stepping on the ice for the first time, returning after years away, or looking to grow your figure skating skills, we have a program for you.
Teen/Adult Learn to Skate (LTS)
📍 Elksentre Arena
📅 Wednesdays, 7-7:30pm, starting September 30
Ages: 12–99
This program is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of skating in a fun, supportive environment.
Requirements: CSA-approved hockey helmet, skates, and warm clothing.
Beginner Figure Skating
📍 Elksentre Arena
📅 Wednesdays, 7:30-8:00pm, starting September 30
This session introduces the foundations of figure skating:

Edges & turns
-
Spins & jumps
-
Ice dance basics
-
Field moves and more!
Requirements: A good pair of figure skates with adequate ankle support and a strong toe pick.
Teen/Adult Freeskate
📍 Elksentre Arena
📅 Tuesdays, 7:30-8:30pm, starting September 29
For skaters who:
-
Are comfortable skating at medium–high speeds
-
Can jump/spin
-
Are working on loop jump and beyond
No formal class is offered during this session, but privately billed lessons are available—please connect with Coach Jenn if interested.
Program Flexibility
Teens and adults are not limited to teen/adult sessions. You are welcome to join any regular club programming if you meet the skating criteria. Please reach out to Coach Jenn if you’d like guidance on the best fit.
